Which Mac do I have?
Apple menu (top left) › About This Mac. “Chip: Apple M…” means Apple Silicon. “Processor: Intel…” means Intel. Every Mac sold since late 2020 is Apple Silicon.
What happens next
- Drag Liaison into Applications.
- Double-click, then “Done”.
- Settings › Privacy & Security › “Open Anyway”.
- Run Liaison-Setup.
- Blue screen: “More info”.
- Then “Run anyway”.

The app isn’t signed by Apple or Microsoft yet, so your computer asks for a confirmation, once. Here is exactly where to click.

Drag Liaison into Applications
Open the .dmg that just landed in Downloads.

Apple could not verify “Liaison” is free of malware that may harm your Mac.

macOS says it couldn’t verify the app. Never “Move to Trash”. On an older macOS, the button says “Cancel”.

Scroll down to “Security”: a line says Liaison was blocked. Click “Open Anyway”.

Confirm, and you’re done
Your password or Touch ID, then “Open”. From then on, a double-click is enough.
macOS says Liaison is “damaged”?
That misleading message means “downloaded from the internet and not signed”. Open Terminal (Applications › Utilities), paste this line, press Enter, then open the app again:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Liaison.app- Liaison-Setup.exe1

Why rekordbox is different
rekordbox never announces what it’s playing. Only the Pro DJ Link network does, broadcast by a CDJ, XDJ or DJM over Ethernet; a USB controller doesn’t broadcast it. On Mac, Liaison works around this by watching which file rekordbox has open. On Windows, the system doesn’t allow that without a third-party tool and admin rights. On Serato, Traktor or VirtualDJ, none of this concerns you.

version.
An update installs over the old one: nothing to uninstall, nothing lost (settings, analysed library, gig sheets, licence). Liaison tells you when a version is out, and nothing installs without you.
